In Farlight 84, Yong is a great scout capsuler who can track and be a nightmare to his opponents. This good-looking Gentleman is as cunning on the battlefield as he appears. Once an enemy is set in his sights, they won’t be leaving peacefully. Yong’s kit primarily emphasizes getting information about the enemies and limiting their vision. Yong’s rivals have little to no advantage when he calls out their hiding place at every chance he gets.
Yong’s Abilities
- Track ‘n Trace (Passive Skill): When you are playing Yong, his passive skills let him see recent footprints around him.
- Blinding Mark (Tactical Skill): When Yong uses his Blinding Mark skill, he sends a forward beam of electronic pulse, which is penetrable. When enemies are caught in its path, they will be revealed, marked and slowed down for a short period. If Yong’s allies shoot the marked target, they suffer a limited vision loss for 3 seconds, and then the mark is removed.
- Divulge(Ultimate Skill): In his ultimate, Yong activates his recon eyepiece, which will provide information about the enemies within the targeted range to Yong and his teammates
Strengths and Weaknesses of Yong
Yong’s Strengths
- Information Broker: A combo of Yong’s passive and other skills lets him get information about his enemies’ location and planning. His skills have a bit wider range than other scout capsulers.
- Moving EMP. With his revamped skill, Yong is now like an EMP. He can now shut down an enemy and ping their position. Mostly, it makes them useless by limiting their vision. The enemies are now sitting ducks if they get hit by Yong’s blinding mark.
- Team Composition. Even Though Yong is an awesome scout, he does have his downside when it comes to rushing. His abilities will set up opportunities to rush and gang up on the enemies, but he is not good at attacks, so he needs attack capsulers like Maggie and Beau. Maggie would be so good because she can close the gap and secure those kills from the targets who are affected by the blinding mark.
Yong’s Weaknesses
- When Yong is using his Ultimate, he would be standing still for some time, so he’s vulnerable. If he’s not hiding, he will get ambushed. It’s more like how Sova in Valorant stands when he uses his Drone.
- Yong’s Blinding mark has to be aimed and timed correctly so you can get a whole squad in his mark.
Tips and Tricks to Use Yong Character
- Rush: As Yong can pinpoint his enemies’ location and bust them out, Yong and his teammates have to play on the offensive side. Yong’s teammates must be ready whenever he pings them to take them out.
- Comms: When playing Yong, you must always use the mic because Yong is built around communication. For instance, if an enemy is camping around you, or if you get information about them, or if you have used a blinding mark, you must give your team callouts.
How to use Yong?
Yong is versatile in Farlight 84 for both team and solo play. His abilities will let him go solo as he can track and cut their sights down. Yong gives a lot of confidence to his team because as long as he’s around, no enemies will be camping around. Yong can easily push as he would know the position and could blind them and rush in.
Yong is truly a one-of-a-kind character built upon the idea of being a complete scout. Scouts are meant to be played with attacker capsulers, as he can provide precise directions about where the enemy would be hiding. This, in turn, boosts the team’s offensive capabilities and allows them to secure a lot of kills.
