Phantom is a great support who has actually been trained as a spy since childhood. Her kit complements her entire spy persona. Hero Support Capsuler Phantom’s kit mainly focuses on helping herself and her team with her optic Camo to hide her and her allies’ footsteps, while her passive skills make her a master of the Sniper Arts. Phantom is an excellent stealth-focused capsuler with her abilities assisting in making clever plays to outsmart their enemies with 100 IQ strategies.
Phantom’s Abilities
- Fatal Shot (Passive Skill): When you are playing Phantom, her passive boosts the headshot damage when she uses a sniper, which takes her sniper mastery to another level.
- Portable Scout (Tactical Skill): Phantom equips a throwable portable device. When thrown, it reveals all enemies hiding within the thrown radius, highlighting them through walls and obstacles.
- Optic Camo(Ultimate Skill): Phantom switches on her Optic Camo, making her and her teammates invisible to her enemies for enough time to sneak into them or flee the scene.
Strengths and Weaknesses of Phantom
Phantom’s Strengths
- Master Sniper. Phantom’s passive lets her be stealthier by promoting the use of sniper rifles where its headshot damage is boosted extra.
- Information Gatherer. Phantom can use her Portable Scout to get the location of her enemies where it is thrown; this prevents enemies from camping and jumping upon you.
- Chameleon. Phantom’s Ultimate clears her presence out of the battlefield. She and her teammates become invisible until she fires her weapons, opening up an opportunity to flee or jump upon the enemies.
- Team Composition. Most of Phantom’s abilities are for boosting the team and as solo artillery, so she can go with any team composition. But if a special capsuler is made for her, it would be Sunil because Sunil’s speed boost would help close the distance effectively during the stealth mode.
Phantom’s Weaknesses
- Phantom takes a massive amount of time for her optic Camo to kick in, and some conditions must be met. Such as it finishes as soon as she starts a fight or fires her weapon, which puts the whole team in danger.
- Phantom’s Portable Scout has a very small radius, so it does not give the desired output as it only covers a small area. So because of the cooldown, this throwable device has to be timed and thrown only if you are sure someone is hiding there and use this as a source to pinpoint them out.
Tips and Tricks to Use Phantom Character
- Sniper Shot. Use Phantom’s Passive to your advantage, as her sniper gives more headshot damage. If you are an expert in snipers, this is a great way to use Phantom while distancing herself from her targets, making her a true spy.
- Scout. Whenever you reach a place and suspect it’s too peaceful, just use the scout to draw out the location of your enemies camping in the area. As it requires you to throw it, and because there’s a cooldown, try to make the most of it by throwing it in the area where you have the information they may be hiding. By revealing them through walls and obstacles, you can know exactly what the enemy is trying to do so you and your team can strike accordingly.
- Camo. Phantom’s Camo provides excellent stealth; it’s not partial invisibility, but rather complete invisibility for a substantial duration for her and her team. So, if you use it at the right moment, you can set up a formidable ambush on the enemies they’ll never see coming.
How to use Phantom?
Phantom can be used both for team and solo plays, mostly emphasizing the squad, as she can make the whole squad invisible, which is an overpowered Ability. When it comes to solo queue, it mostly boils down to player skills. Due to her lack of escape abilities, she often becomes a sitting duck unless she has her ultimate. She should avoid close-quarter fights, and with her sniper damage boost, she’s well-suited for engaging in long-range gunfights.
